While interning for this PR boutique promoting Chicago’s local theaters, I drafted and compiled press kits, press releases, media advisories and executive bios for clients including Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Lookingglass Theatre, Writers’ Theatre, Court Theatre, Victory Gardens, Northlight Theatre, Profiles Theatre and Piven Theatre Workshop. During a show’s rehearsal period, I assisted on dress rehearsal photo shoots and B-roll video shoots. For opening nights, I facilitated talent interviews and greeted reviewers on press nights. At the conclusion of runs I compiled press clippings, reports and designed press books for theater executives and boards of directors.
Million Dollar Quartet
As part of the open-ended Million Dollar Quartet run, I accompanied the cast to promotional appearances at a White Sox Game at U.S. Cellular Field and the Printers Row Book Fair. I also baked a good-luck lemon loaf for the cast to enjoy before their performance (and win) at the 2010 Emmy Awards®.
